Prayer Vigil Facilitators' Info

Persons who will serve as Facilitators during the March 1-2 Prayer Vigil need to be aware of the following guidelines for the Vigil:

1. Security will be present throughout the night; one door will be opened, either the front door or the side door by the parlor.

2. Facilitators will check in and out in the parlor ten minutes before their shift begins to quietly "pass the torch" and pass on any information.

3. Facilitators may choose to turn on quiet music (a boom box and a few CD's will be up front), or have a totally quiet sanctuary.

4. Completed Prayer Request Cards, and blank ones, will be on the communion table with printed instructions, so no talking needs to occur.

5. Each person should take ten to fifteen cards at a time from the right side of the communion table to guide their prayer, and then return them to the left side of the communion table. Then they may pick up more from the right side. Facilitators will return cards to the right side of the table from the left as necessary.

6. Please remember that everything read and prayed about is CONFIDENTIAL. If you feel so led, you at some point, may approach that person to say you prayed for them, but nothing more unless they talk about it to you. Sensitive issues will be listed on those cards; treat them respectfully.
